For three years, Ian Black has been our mainstay for all things graphic for Ottawa House Museum in Parrsboro. Our new interpretive plan involved a complete redesign of everything from our logo to small directional signs, large interpretive panels and roadside signs.

Fast and talented, Ian takes one’s ideas to a much higher level with his quick and creative mind and magic fingers! And when there is a blank page for him to start with, there is no limit to what he can dream up.

His business is a tremendous asset to this small town; we are fortunate indeed to have such a service so close at hand.

I don't normally write things like this but I have to on this occasion. I had occasion to work with Ian. Now if your looking for a yes man. Ian ain't your guy. if your looking for someone who will tell you your ideas are the greatest. Again thats not Ian. If your not wanting a seeming appology of "sorry it took so long", accompanied with a wry smile don't go and see Ian. Now initially this may seem like a negative thing but I am here to tell you you couldnt get any further from the truth. Firstly Ian is honest. Brutally honest. If your ideas hold merit he will tell you and will cultivate those ideas with you. If your ideas are so far off the mark your wasting money. He WILL tell you. He Will design something specific for you and your business.  Just watching the design process is amazing. Fingers bluring eyes flashing and you see a thing of beauty literally coming into existance before your eyes. I was in with Ian on Friday we ironed out some ideas, signage etc. What I have now is multiple times better and more effective than the idea I went in with. Ultimatly When it comes to this I dont know what I'm doing. I would like to think I do as its my business, but as Ian pointed out. I don't do this all the time. Ian does. Now Late that same Friday evening. I think it was after 10pm I get a message saying my signage is ready and can be picked up Saturday morning. When I walked in to pick them up. I was greeted with the wry smile and Ian saying. "sorry it took so long" Wow... Just Wow... Fast, professional, no bullshit. Ian is the only person I know that can take a negative phrase like "sorry it took so long" and make you so happy to hear it. Yes Ian is sarcastic. and yes it works for him. Will I work with Ian again. Holy crap yes. Will I recomend Ian, I already have.
